RESNA International committee meeting

Participants: Mary Binion (US/NA, RESNA) Christian Buhler (Germany, RESAAATE); Dawn Carlson (US NIDRR); Mandy Chadwick (Australia, ARATA); Barbara Duncan (US, RI); Alexander Enders (US, RESNA); Harry Knops (Netherlands, IRV); Simon Margolis (US/NA RESNA); Kathy Martinez (US, WID); Mickey Milner (CA/NA, RESNA); William Peterson (US, NIDRR); Ilkka Saarnio(Finland); Katherine Seelman (US/NA RESNA); Osamu Sueda (RESJA).

  • The participants introduced themselves and shared email addresses.
  • The Tokushima Agreement was discussed. This is an agreement between AAATE, ARATA, RESJA and RESNA regarding collaboration and cooperation. Dr. Osamu Sueda disseminated the JCAART 2000 Supplement of the Proceedings including all Keynote Addresses. A copy of the agreement is included in this supplement.
  • Dr. Christian Buehler, AAATE President, discussed the AAATE conference and a way to disseminate information from the conference and collaboration. The AAATE conference will be held September 3-6, 2001 in Ljubljana, Slovenia. Everyone is invited to attend.
  • Each organization from the Tokushima Agreement will put information about the conferences and minutes of the international meetings on the web sites. Dr. Buehler also discussed the conference topics.
  • Mandy Chadwick, ARATA representative, discussed the ARATA Conference to be held October 2-4, 2001 in Brisbane, Australia. The conference will cover similar topic areas. They will have a meeting for international organizations and forward information to their sister organizations. Everyone is invited to attend.
  • Dr. Osamu Sueda, RESJA President, announced JCAART 2001 to be held on August 27-29, 2001 in Okayama, Japan. Everyone is invited to attend.
  • RESNA thanks CIRRIE for the international travel grants that assisted in the international exchange of information for representatives from RESJA, ARATA, and AAATE.
