Joining ARATA means joining a vibrant assistive technology community of practice. As a member of the International Assistive Technology Professionals Organisations, ARATA is recognised as the Australian peak body for assistive technology. While entirely voluntary, ARATA has a proud 25 year history of practice leadership, education and professional development, systemic advocacy and contributions to policy reform.
ARATA members are passionate about equity and access to technologies as a human right and to enable individualised outcomes. Through our active listserv you will connect with members who share your passion whether this is for specific technologies, interventions, populations, or regions. ARATA members act locally and globally, and collaborate through the sharing of practice knowledge, research translation and strategic sector development.
This is a very exciting time for Australia's Assistive Technology community, and ARATA is an excellent way of connecting with assistive technology news, networks and developments. If you are an assistive technology user, supporter, mentor, designer, developer, supplier, researcher, educator, ARATA welcomes you.
